The orbits
of
the planets
in the Solar System
All planets in the Solar System move around the sun in
their orbits.
The gravitational force between the sun and each planet
keeps the planet from falling out of their orbits.
The nine planets that orbit the sun are (in order from the
sun): Mercury,
Venus,
Earth,
Mars,
Jupiter,
Saturn,
Uranus,
Neptune
and Pluto.
